Andrea
Harper’s sophisticated songwriting talent and uniquely inviting
voice create an edgy, inviting pop rock sound-A mix of raw emotion,
strength and vulnerability reminiscent of Natalie Merchant, Alanis
Morissette and Sheryl Crow all rolled into one.
Andrea
started collaborating with producer Gary Pickus in 2000 and subsequently
released a five song EP in 2001. She formed a band later that year
playing LA venues like The Gig, 14 Below, The Joint, Genghis Cohen
and Highland Grounds. She continued to write during 2001 occasionally
with bassist Trinidad Sanchez but more often, on her own. In 2002
she teamed up with producer/engineer Denny Weston, Jr. and recently
released her first full length CD, “Invisible Tattoo”,
which was mixed, mastered and recorded at The Tree House in Los
Angeles.
Harper
is a compelling performer with enough moxie, wit and charm to captivate
any audience. She is backed by background vocalist, Rachel Marvin,
and a spirited group of musicians on keyboard, bass, lead guitar
and drums.
